Men’s PGA Tour Highlights
The headlines belonged to Tommy Fleetwood, who finally claimed his long-awaited first PGA Tour title at the Tour Championship. Not only did he capture the event at East Lake with a composed closing round, but he also walked away with the FedEx Cup trophy, a crowning moment after years of close calls and runner-up finishes. Fleetwood’s consistency all season long was rewarded with one of the biggest prizes in golf and an emphatic statement that he belongs at the very top tier of the game.
Earlier in the playoffs, Scottie Scheffler had produced fireworks at the BMW Championship, rallying from four shots back and holing a chip-in birdie on the 17th to claim his fifth win of the year. But it was Fleetwood who seized the ultimate prize, cementing his legacy with a career-defining triumph.
Robert MacIntyre, who looked poised to win the BMW before faltering in the final round, will take confidence from his strong form heading into the Ryder Cup. Maverick McNealy also continued his rise with another top finish, while Akshay Bhatia earned his way into East Lake, rounding out a breakout season.
